Whether you’ve enjoyed a vacation or a staycation, Stewardship welcomes everyone back and asks you to think about what First Church means to you, to our neighbors and to the world. How much of your time, talent and wealth can you return for God’s purpose and use?

The Massachusetts Conference of the United Church of Christ reported that in 2006 the average pledge per pledge unit was $1,465. They suggest that 10-20% of your total gift be for missions.

The financial support of both Operational Ministries (staff salaries, heat, lighting, supplies and more) and our Missions and Outreach (helping the people and organizations chosen by our Missions Board) are needed more than ever. In these tough economic times, your pledges are the only way we are able to plan what we will be able to offer both within our church and beyond.

“I Love to Tell the Story,” a favorite hymn for many, is the theme for this year’s Stewardship campaign and we hope the stories you hear will inspire you to give generously. Stay tuned!
